Girls in Ndhiwa face challenges such as poverty, lack of basic supplies, family health, pregnancy, & gender-based violence. This often causes girls to miss school or drop out - at over double the rate of boys in 2025. When families face emergencies such as illness or loss of income girls are especially vulnerable & may be forced to stay at home, work, or take on household responsibilities instead of continuing their education. Without a support system their health & wellbeing can suffer greatly.
We will offer immediate integrated support to crises. Carrying out home visits to understand girls home environments and build rapport with caregivers while supporting girls through mentorship and life skills training. We will also provide health and hygiene support allowing girls to deal with sanitary and menstrual health with dignity and confidence. This will include underwear, sanitary towels & soap. Ensuring girls have the supplies, confidence & support to stay in education.
