Archer Academy students need opportunities beyond the classroom to build confidence, wellbeing, life and employability skills and aspirations. However, rising costs and tighter school budgets make these enrichment experiences harder to provide. Without a targeted enrichment programme, our students, particularly those who are disadvantaged, are most likely to miss out on activities that support personal development and future readiness.

Every Wednesday afternoon, all Archer Academy students take part in two enrichment activities from a broad programme including arts, academic interests, leadership, community projects, sports and outdoor learning. Activities are tailored by key stage and designed to help students discover new interests, develop new skills, form new friendships and grow in confidence, with additional focus on widening access for disadvantaged pupils.
