To support male & female children and adults on low incomes who've experienced trauma e.g. grief, loss, domestic abuse or neglect by providing subsidised counselling 1:1 or in a small group setting. Our work is desperately needed as statutory provision is extremely limited with excessive wait times.

It's well known that poor mental health has risen significantly since 2016, partly attributable to the toxic legacy of the pandemic. The cost of mental ill health in England is now estimated at £300 billion per year. Local mental health services are struggling to cope with lengthy waiting lists. Counselling referrals to us have skyrocketed in the last 12 months; teenagers & adults whose fragile metal health has led them to almost breaking point as the wait for NHS support is over 18 months.

We employ a fully qualified therapist accredited by the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society. He has over 20 yrs experience working with clients suffering from addiction and trauma, anxiety, depression, abuse, eating disorders, end-of-life care and neurodiversity (not exclusively). We will provide 1:1 & group therapy sessions for vulnerable children and adults on low incomes at our centre to support personal growth and build their fragile mental health; many of whom can’t access support.
