Fishing is one of the UK’s most dangerous occupations. Winter brings hostile seas and treacherous conditions. Fishermen’s income is often low and unpredictable - tied to the success of the catch. One cancelled trip, bad weather, accident or illness can quickly lead to crisis. Rising living costs mean many fishing families are facing increasing financial pressures - forced to choose between heating and eating.

For nearly 150 years, the Fishermen’s Mission has been supporting UK fishing families during times of crisis. We're here to provide emergency and practical help whenever it’s needed. The Big Give project will enable us to deliver vital food, gas, and electricity vouchers to those who are struggling this winter.
