We are raising funds to provide Memory Boxes to parents across the West Midlands and Warwickshire who tragically lose a baby over Christmas. Each box helps vulnerable parents, blinded by grief, create precious memories of their baby that they can hold onto and treasure for a lifetime.

The festive season is typically known as a happy and joyful time but for parents facing Baby Loss, it can be truly overwhelming. Bereaved parents are often left isolated, incredibly lonely and feeling utterly helpless. Despite our region having the highest infant mortality and stillbirth rates in the UK, there is a distinct lack of Baby Loss support available locally. Without early support, bereaved parents are sadly at risk of PTSD, anxiety, depression and long-term mental health problems.

We will provide Memory Boxes to parents who lose a baby over Christmas. Each lovingly prepared box contains items to support memory-making and the grieving process, including hand and footprint kits, keepsakes, and two teddy bears—one for baby and one for parents—which are swapped before parents say goodbye, allowing them to take home a teddy carrying their baby’s scent. We also include details on our wider services to ensure parents are connected to ongoing care to support life after Baby Loss.
