Homelessness is rising, driven by a shortage of affordable housing, financial hardship and increasingly complex needs. Behind every statistic is someone whose life has been shaped by trauma. Our research shows that 94% of people experiencing homelessness have experienced trauma, often multiple traumas. Without the right support, trauma can make it harder to maintain relationships, manage mental health and sustain a home, leaving people trapped in cycles of homelessness and crisis.
Our services are grounded in safety, warmth and belonging. We meet people where they are, without judgement. Our drop-ins provide showers, food, clothing, laundry, healthcare advice and practical support. Our supported housing helps people build stability and independence. Our Domestic Abuse Service supports women escaping abusive relationships. Across all of our work, trauma-informed support helps people move from crisis towards safety, confidence and hope.
