Across Islington and Haringey, more than 31,000 unpaid carers provide support to their family and friends, with around one in four caring for 50+ hours a week. Despite the proven benefits of creative activity for wellbeing and connection, opportunities for people living with dementia and their carers remain scarce. Park Theatre's award-winning creative health programmes ensure those affected by caring responsibilities have regular access to life-enhancing cultural experiences.

We will expand Park Theatre’s programmes for unpaid carers, increasing participant numbers in our weekly sessions and extending delivery beyond our building to reach across Islington and Haringey. Using theatre, music and creative writing, we will reach more unpaid carers, providing regular cultural activity that reduces isolation and eases pressures on local health and social care services.
