Bereaved siblings are often the forgotten grievers, with much of the support following a child's death understandably focused on parents. We provide timely early theaurptuic bereavement support to help children understand their grief, to feel less alone, meet others and remember their sibling.

The death of a sibling can have a profound and lasting impact on a child’s emotional wellbeing. The unique bond shared between siblings means that bereaved children often face complex challenges that require dedicated support to help them understand and navigate their grief. They often feel isolated and can feel as though a part of themselves is missing.
Bereaved siblings are supported with 1-1 sessions delivered in schools and at Bodie's House. Children and young people are given a safe space to explore their grief, talk about their brother or sister, understand their emotions, and create lasting memories through age-appropriate activities. Sessions are provided by our qualified counsellors.
