Food poverty is often the first sign of much deeper challenges. Our evaluation of families who have been accessing support from Restore Hope found that those who are facing food crisis also often struggle with insecure employment, debt, poor physical and mental health, housing insecurity, caring responsibilities and social isolation. We will be offering holistic support to families accessing the Dignity Supermarket, seeking to address the underlying causes of food poverty, building resilience.

Families who access the Dignity Supermarket will be supported by Restore Hope to identify the root causes of their crisis through an Outcomes Star assessment. Families will receive personalised support to address identified needs including budgeting, meal planning, cookery, parenting, employability and wellbeing programmes, plus specialist advice. By building skills, confidence and financial resilience, we help families move beyond crisis and thrive independently.
