Sri Lanka is one of the world's 36 biodiversity hotspots, yet lacks the environmental funding seen in similar regions, & international conservation NGOs are largely absent. Facing the world's highest Human-Elephant & wildlife conflict, alongside recurring floods, droughts & coastal erosion, conservation competes with urgent humanitarian & economic needs. Local philanthropy remains scarce, leaving locally led groups without the resilience needed to scale their impact.

Established in 2019, the Lanka Environment Fund supports existing conservation initiatives by providing grant funding & acting as a conduit for international funding to have local impact. We raise funds locally & globally from individuals & businesses & ensure maximum transparency & impact by working closely with Sri Lanka's most effective conservation organisations.
