The future of the art of hand embroidery depends on access to specialist education. Opportunities for high-quality training are limited, while expert tuition, dedicated studio space and specialist materials make education expensive to deliver. Tuition fees alone cannot meet these costs. Without continued investment, opportunities for talented students will diminish and vital skills risk being lost.

The RSN provides specialist education that preserves and advances the unique art of hand embroidery. Through expert teaching, technical support and creative practice, we equip students with the skills to build successful careers while ensuring traditional techniques remain relevant in contemporary practice. Funding will sustain this world-leading education.
