The National Emergencies Trust is responding to more UK emergencies than ever before. Your support will help train local resilience champions who can bring people together, strengthen community preparedness and help protect those most at risk before the next disaster strikes.

Communities are often the true first responders during emergencies. Neighbours help neighbours, and grassroots organisations rally round those most in need. In the past 18 months, the National Emergencies Trust has responded to eleven emergencies – more than in any previous period. Communities show remarkable strength, but as crises become more common, they will need support, stronger connections and practical tools to prepare before emergencies happen. Being better prepared can help save lives.
We will help train community resilience champions and roll out a dynamic and accessible community resilience toolkit across the UK. Champions are trusted local people who help to bring neighbours, charities, schools, faith groups and community organisations together to prepare for emergencies. They will identify local risks, strengthen support networks and make sure vulnerable people are not left behind when a crisis hits. Together, we can turn preparedness into practical local action.
