We provide accommodation and specialist support for people who are in need of protection, but who are homeless and destitute, with no rights to any form of housing or income. Many have trauma and very poor mental health. We help people recover, and take steps to a safe and sustainable future.

We work with people seeking asylum who are the most vulnerable and at-risk. They have been refused asylum, or have fallen out of the system altogether, often due to very poor mental heath, trauma, lack of any proper advice or representation, lack of knowledge about the UK asylum system, fear, and language barriers. Without any rights at all, they are in profound destitution, which makes mental and physical health worse, and makes it impossible to make any longer term plans beyond survival.
We provide temporary accommodation in our own shared men's house, or with 'hosts' - ordinary local people who have a spare room. This gives people time and safety to recover from destitution, get mental health support, and be provided with specialist support and casework to understand the asylum system, and eventually to make effective new claims for the protection they need. Our weekly drop-in centre provides social support, English classes, and opportunities to volunteer and feel valued.
