Christmas Day is a special occasion for most families, but for many care leavers, Christmas is a very lonely time. Since we started in 2017, our aim has been to combat isolation and build friendships and community by providing a magical and memorable Christmas Day event for 50+ young adults who grew up in local authority care. The relationships we forge on the day and the trust that we build are vital foundations for our year-round programme of support.

This year, our 10th Cocoon Christmas Day will, we hope, be our best ever. It's a special day for 50+ young care leavers from across three London Boroughs - Hounslow, Richmond and Kingston and we ensure that they experience the traditional family-feel Christmas Day that they deserve, served up with care and kindness. We know that it's the care, kindness and sense of community and connection that stays with our guests and makes a difference to their lives long after the event.
