Nothing prepares a parent for hearing, “Your child has cancer.” Families suddenly face hospital stays, emotional trauma, financial hardship and an uncertain future. Parents often stop working, siblings feel overlooked, and children miss school and friendships. Demand for our support continues to grow as more families are referred to us. Without specialist emotional and practical support, many families would face this devastating journey feeling overwhelmed, isolated and alone.
Enable more newly diagnosed families to access immediate support following a childhood cancer diagnosis, reducing fear and uncertainty from the outset. Provide specialist emotional and practical support through home, hospital and school visits, helping families navigate treatment and feel less isolated. Our newly developed school support packs equip teachers to support both the child and their peers, promoting understanding, inclusion and continued educational engagement.
