Disabled people, especially those with complex disabilities and/or life limiting conditions, face major barriers to accessing leisure and recreation. Many experience social isolation, reduced confidence and limited opportunities to participate in activities that others take for granted. Traditional boating experiences are often inaccessible due to physical, financial and practical barriers. Many disabled people miss out on wellbeing, connection and sense of freedom these experiences can provide.

We provide safe, fully accessible marine boating experiences through 8 specially designed powerboats operating nationwide. Each year we welcome 11,000+ disabled people of all ages and conditions, alongside their families, carers and support groups. Every trip promotes active participation. Around half of participants return year after year, with many others experiencing the sea for the first time. By removing physical and practical barriers, we make ‘blue health’ activities accessible to all.
