Children in Zambia face significant barriers to education. Inadequate sanitation facilities contribute to illness and absenteeism, while period poverty causes girls to miss lessons or leave school altogether. Limited access to electricity restricts study time after dark, affecting academic performance. Schools often lack essential resources and staff training, and many families struggle to meet education costs. These challenges reduce attainment, perpetuate poverty, limiting opportunities.

We’ll reach 3,000 orphans & other vulnerable children & young people with: Strategies to support students’ safety & wellbeing with new toilets, counselling, health & monitoring services, menstrual hygiene support & access to reusable sanitary pads; Investing in solar so students can access digital learning & study after dark;Paying school fees & other costs so children & young people can access education; Training for graduates & schools;Capacity-building community schools & other groups.
