Refugees in Uganda face persistent poverty and limited access to essential services. Reliable vehicles will enable staff to reach remote community groups, travelling up to 3.5 hours on rough roads, and expand support to 30 more groups, benefiting a total of 3,450 households. The communities we serve often lack the knowledge, equipment and resources needed to prevent diseases such as malaria, grow their own food sustainably, and develop successful small businesses.

CRESS is expanding support from 82 to 112 livelihood groups. Big Give funding will enable staff to reach remote communities with regular mentoring, training and follow-up on health, savings, sustainable agriculture and livelihoods. Mosquito nets, mama kits, tools and seeds will help families adopt these practices while building income to become self-sufficient. Local lead volunteers will also receive ongoing training and support to enable skill sharing and strengthen community resilience.
