This year, two cheetah cubs were rescued just hours before they were to be smuggled into the illegal wildlife trade. Their survival is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when we act fast. This campaign will fund urgent rescue, veterinary care & long-term protection for trafficked cheetah cubs.

The illegal wildlife trade continues to steal cheetah cubs from the wild, separating them from their mothers and condemning them to high mortality rates during trafficking. “Two tiny cheetah cubs had been discovered… frightened, dehydrated, and just hours away from being smuggled out of the country to be sold into the illegal pet trade” This is not an isolated incident — it is part of a growing regional crisis. Cheetah cubs are highly vulnerable: up to 80% die during trafficking.
CCF UK raises the funds that make frontline rescue and care possible. Working with CCF’s Cheetah Rescue and Conservation Centre in Somaliland and in partnership with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, we support: • Rapid response rescue missions • Emergency veterinary care • 24/7 specialist rehabilitation • Long term sanctuary for cubs who cannot return to the wild • Anti trafficking enforcement and community education
