Luton is a vibrant and ethnically diverse city, but poverty is a huge problem. 1 in 57 people Luton are homeless and 5 of the 19 wards are in the 10% most deprived areas in the country. Food poverty can lead to a wide range of issues, from mental health issues to social exclusion and the obvious health risks of not having regular, nutritious meals. It's also often a barrier to finding and maintaining employment so addressing this can make a huge impact on individuals, and their families lives

We open every Friday, throughout the year and pride ourselves on being a welcoming, community environment where people can enjoy a fresh, hot meal, come together, share stories and, through our many partners, find support to begin to address the wider challenges they may face. We are supported by Venue Central for food preparation and Discover Islam Centre host us, enabling us to bring what was just an idea to fruition.
