We tackle the impact of drug and alcohol addiction, stigma and social exclusion in some of the most deprived communities in the North East. These challenges can lead to poor health, housing instability, unemployment and isolation, making it harder for people to access and stay engaged with support — especially important with residential rehabilitation. All of our work is grounded in lived experience. We know what works—and what doesn't.

As a lived experience organisation, we build personal relationships and trust in ways larger organisations often cannot. We use that experience to help people stay engaged in treatment and recovery through practical, peer-led support, including structured rehabilitation. These connections help people build stability, improve health and wellbeing, move into volunteering, training and employment, and ultimately overcome addiction and recover.
