Baytree is situated in a poor and underserved area in Lambeth, marked by its gang crime, violence, insecurity and trauma. All families we work with are suffering not just from poverty and its consequences: poor health, poor mental health, overcrowded accommodation but also from social isolation. This means poor aspirations, and weak social networks to sustain those who raise their aspirations. A barrier for many is poor knowledge of English, as well as little knowledge of UK systems.

We offer a safe and beautiful space where every woman is listened to and feels welcome. We deliver activities daily from 10 am to 6 pm. Activities are based on our five pillars: Family Stability; Financial Stability; Education; Employment and Wellbeing. Our activities are delivered through group workshops/classes and 1-2-1 support. This enables the women that come to Baytree to break the cycle of poverty and social exclusion that prevents them and their families from thriving in the UK.
