During December, many families travel both across the UK and abroad to celebrate the festive season. Some unfortunate parents will face a Christmas crisis: a baby born prematurely; a child in a terrible accident or suffering a sudden, critical illness while far from home. Unexpectedly experiencing a medical emergency can leave families feeling lost and unsure how to navigate often complicated systems to get their child back home to access vital medical care and treatment.

Lia’s Wings is the only air ambulance charity providing life-saving medical transfers for British children facing critical illness and life-changing injury around the world. We use adapted aeroplanes and expert medical staff to help children reach the vital care they need. We support families as they face difficult and uncertain times, no matter where they are. With our clinical expertise and logistical knowledge, we want to ensure we can help more families in crisis this December and beyond.
