Founded in 2000 as the charitable arm of Saracens Rugby Club, the Saracens Foundation has grown into a community charity delivering projects every week across North London and Hertfordshire. Through sport, movement, and mentorship, we give people the tools, opportunities, and support to take positive steps forward, improving health and wellbeing, developing skills, accessing education and employment, and building stronger connections with others. Ultimately, we want to create the platform for people to make lasting changes in their own lives and help build healthier, more connected communities.

Across North London and Hertfordshire, too many people face fundamental barriers that make it harder to live healthy, connected and fulfilling lives. For some young people, challenges at school can lead to exclusion and increase the risk of becoming involved in crime or offending, while for others, the cycle of reoffending can make it difficult to build a positive future. At the same time, poor physical and mental health can leave people feeling isolated and unable to reach their full potential. Children, disabled people, older adults, people seeking sanctuary, people in prison and those living in care homes can all experience barriers to being active, building connections and accessing the support and opportunities they need. That’s where the Saracens Foundation comes in. Through the power of sport and our community programmes, we work alongside people facing these barriers to help create healthier, more connected, and more positive futures.
We use the power of sport, movement and mentorship to help people across North London and Hertfordshire overcome barriers, build confidence, and create positive lasting change in their lives. Through 18 targeted projects, our work is centred around three pathways, education, inclusion, and movement, helping people develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to thrive. Whether improving health and wellbeing, opening access to education and employment, or creating opportunities to connect and feel a sense of belonging, we meet people where they are and support them to take positive steps forward. Working alongside trusted local partners, the Saracens Foundation strives to create inclusive opportunities that break down barriers, unlock potential and strengthen the communities we call home.
