Right to Move shifts responsibility for public safety away from women. Through billboards, influencers and a simple bystander framework — Stop. Support. Report. — we equip everyone, especially men, to act against harassment.

Research shows that women in the UK modify their behaviour every day to stay safe in public spaces. This looks like planning routes, sharing locations and changing routines. This burden intensifies when darker evenings arrive. Over 70% of UK women have experienced sexual harassment in a public space, yet the dominant response remains placing responsibility on women to protect themselves. Bystanders, the people already present when harassment occurs, are not equipped or empowered to act.
Right to Move tackles this through a mass public education campaign built around a simple, memorable bystander framework: Stop. Support. Report. Stop and offer help; Support the person to safety; Report if they want to. Reaching audiences who wouldn’t ordinarily seek out this message themselves through influencer partnerships, media activations and an ally action pack promoted digitally. Critically, the campaign speaks directly to men, giving them practical, non-confrontational tools to act.
