Girls Friendly Society (GFS) creates safe spaces where girls can be themselves and be celebrated. Your support will help girls in disadvantaged communities build confidence, form healthy relationships, and explore topics like periods and online safety, boosting wellbeing and helping them thrive.

Many young girls growing up today face inequality, poverty and isolation. They are subjected to bullying, harassment and online harm on a daily basis. 1 in 3 girls report struggling with their mental health and wellbeing, their confidence is low and they often lack safe, supportive spaces where they feel truly heard. Without support and guidance these early experiences can follow them from childhood to adulthood.
GFS creates inclusive, girl-centred groups where girls can connect, feel they belong and thrive. Through weekly afterschool sessions and school workshops, GFS provides consistent support, positive role models and opportunities for girls to build confidence, skills and the resilience shape their own futures. One girl shared that before GFS she felt “shy and alone” now she has friends, feels confident and has “a place where I can be myself”.
