The Arts Theatre is fundraising for its new ticket subsidy scheme, Give a Ticket. With your help, we can share the joy and wonder of live theatre with hundreds of children and young people in Cambridgeshire who may never have had the chance to experience it.

Cambridge is one of the UK’s most unequal cities, and cost of living pressures have doubled the number of schools cancelling trips, leaving lower-income families with limited cultural opportunities. We support children and young people in our city’s most deprived and disadvantaged areas, offering more equal access to participation in the arts and the opportunity to experience the benefits of enjoying live performance.

We know that the experience of live theatre often sparks a lifelong love of the arts, raises aspirations and enhances wellbeing. We also know from our partnerships with state schools that teachers and pupils want to attend live performances, but financial barriers often prevent them from doing so. Give a Ticket solves this problem of inequitable access by offering hundreds of subsidised tickets to shows at The Arts Theatre to those who would otherwise not be able to attend.
