YMCA North Tyneside provides support to young people from all walks of life. Young homeless people, unaccompanied asylum seekers & young people at risk of criminal & anti-social behaviours. We support them so that they can be connected, healthy & happy individuals who make a positive difference.

Young people who face additional challenges are left behind in society. They face poverty, poorer health outcomes, homelessness, & higher risk of criminal & anti-social behaviour. Young people without support drift through life with little purpose. They are more likely to experience long-term unemployment, furthering the impact of poverty on their well-being. A cycle of poor physical & mental well-being, unemployment, homelessness and disconnected from their community.
Through the provision of safe places, from a roof over their head to youth groups where young people have access to trusted professional youth workers, YMCA North Tyneside can support and serve young people to be happy, healthy and connected individuals. Our approach is always user-led; we listen and act upon what we are told the issues young people are facing and how we can work to solve them. Providing a "normal" Christmas to youth groups, to support services, ensuring they connect & thrive.
