Too many people are excluded from theatre because of cost, limited local opportunities, physical barriers, or a lack of spaces where they feel welcome. Children and young people facing disadvantage are particularly affected. As household budgets come under pressure, access to high-quality cultural experiences is becoming increasingly unequal, leaving many people without opportunities to experience the creativity, connection, and wellbeing that live theatre can provide.

Riding Lights will create ambitious family theatre and Christmas productions that are affordable and accessible to all. We will provide free tickets for children and young people who would otherwise miss out, improve accessibility within our venue, and take performances into community settings to reach wider audiences. Alongside this, we will nurture creative talent through training and development opportunities, helping more people engage with theatre as participants, learners, and audiences.
