For 135 years, Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre has been helping disadvantaged children experience the joy, adventure and confidence that a seaside holiday can bring. We provide fully funded residential breaks in Skegness for children aged 6–11 who are facing challenges such as poverty, family hardship, bereavement, caring responsibilities or poor emotional wellbeing. For many children, it is their first holiday away from home and a chance to simply be a child. Our holidays include transport, accommodation, meals, activities and dedicated support from trained staff and volunteers. Through our "5 Days to Thrive" programme, children build confidence, resilience, friendships and aspirations that can last a lifetime.
