Many people in Ramsey and surrounding villages face hidden isolation and disconnection. Low income families struggle with costs and transport, children lack safe spaces to socialise, and adults, especially parents and older people, experience loneliness. Rural barriers restrict access to activities, contributing to poor mental wellbeing, low confidence, reduced physical activity, and weaker community connections. Without support, these issues will continue to grow.
Creating Community Cohesion in Ramsey will deliver free, inclusive activities to bring people together and strengthen community bonds. This includes weekly children’s sports, adult social groups, family events, and informal sessions like Walk and Talk. The programme removes financial barriers, provides welcoming spaces, encourages all ages to take part, and builds lasting connections, confidence, and a strong sense of belonging.
