We are raising funds to expand our education and community programmes across Croydon and London. By focusing on disadvantaged schools and underserved communities, we aim to bring the transformative experience of orchestral music to people who might otherwise have no opportunity to participate.

Too many children in Croydon and across London lack access to quality music education. While 50% of pupils at independent schools receive sustained music tuition, only 15% of state school pupils do. Music education improves confidence, motivation and social skills, with research showing positive outcomes for 70% of participants. It provides a creative outlet for self-expression while helping young people build resilience, focus and meaningful social connections.
LMP will expand its education and community programmes in disadvantaged schools and underserved communities across Croydon and London. Through our Inspire programme, we will provide high-quality music experiences for primary pupils, support teachers with training and resources, and help address the shortage of music provision. We will also grow opportunities for secondary students through workshops, mentoring and participation in Side-by-Side concert performances alongside professional musicians
