The Christmas Hamper Campaign brings festive cheer to struggling families across Stoke-on-Trent. Christmas can be a stressful time for those in need, this campaign helps to reduce that stress. Funds raised are used to create a Hamper full of festive treats for the whole family to enjoy.

Christmas is a time and of celebration for most families across the country, however, for those struggling to afford basic necessities Christmas can be an extra challenging period. With the added pressure to purchase gifts for their children putting undue stress on those already struggling. This is particularly prevalent in Stoke-on-Trent a city facing economic challenges. It is the 13th most deprived local authority in England (out of 317) and there are 43.5% of children living in poverty.
We will work with local charities and community organisations to identify families most in need across the city and provide them with a Christmas Hamper. These are filled with necessities, including toiletries. But Christmas is a special time of year, and we believe those struggling should also be entitled to feel this. So, Hampers are also filled with special items including snacks and treats, books other food items, activities for children and more.
