At Mates in Mind, we recognise that the impact of work-related stress, other life events, and personal vulnerability, can adversely affect mental health. We support organisations in higher risk sectors to create environments and cultures that promote positive mental health, because everyone matters.

3 in 5 UK workers experience mental health issues linked to their work. Work-related stress can reduce focus, drive disengagement, and harm overall wellbeing - sometimes with tragic outcomes, including the loss of lives by suicide. We help organisations in higher-risk sectors, create cultures that support positive mental health. The urgency is clear - in the UK construction sector alone, you are almost 4 times more likely to die by suicide.

At Mates in Mind, we don’t just see a workforce, we see people, each carrying invisible loads. Through awareness training, mental health literacy workshops, listening skills and open conversations, we empower them. We can help to recognise signs of struggle, offer support, and normalise mental health conversations. Where traditional responses often wait for crisis, we believe in creating psychologically safe environments before someone reaches breaking point. That’s what makes the difference.
