While Christmas is a time of joy for many, loneliness and financial hardship remain a reality for our Irish community. Your donation will help us provide advice, support and welcoming spaces, so people can find relief from financial worries, feel less lonely and live happier, healthier lives.

Impact areas
Many of the areas we serve are among the most deprived in London, where ill health, insecure housing and rising living costs make everyday life more difficult. For generations, coming together through music, dancing and conversation has been at the heart of Irish life. Today, too many older Irish people have lost those connections, leaving them isolated and without the friendships and support they once relied upon.
Whether someone comes to us worried about losing their home or simply looking for company, BIAS is here for them. Last year, we supported 942 people across our services. Our Welfare and Advocacy Service helps people access the benefits, housing support and advice they are entitled to, improving their financial security. Our Active Ageing Clubs and Be-A-Friend service help older people socialise, stay active and celebrate their Irish heritage, reducing loneliness.
