Tourette syndrome affects around 300,000 people in the UK, yet support remains inconsistent and often ends after diagnosis. Many children, young people and adults are left to cope alone with stigma, isolation and misunderstanding, affecting mental wellbeing, relationships and daily life. Since the BAFTA-winning film I Swear, more people are seeking help—but demand is rising faster than available support, leaving too many families without the community and understanding they urgently need.
Our FEST weekends reduce isolation and stigma by creating a safe space where people with Tourette’s can be themselves without judgement. Participants build confidence through inclusive activities and shared experiences, forming lasting friendships and support networks. Families gain vital peer connection and understanding. With limited services available, FESTS deliver a scalable, community-led solution that improves wellbeing, builds resilience and ensures no one feels alone.
