In the UK around 1 in 5 women develop a mental health condition during their pregnancy or in the 2 years after birth. Not enough is being done to support women during their pregnancy or postpartum with their mental health. Women are being left to suffer alone and in silence with no support.

Women's mental health during pregnancy or postpartum is simply not being treated as importantly as it should be. One in five UK Women develop a mental health condition during pregnancy or in the two years after. They are not being supported enough, and not enough research is being done to look into this area. Too often women are left alone and not offered the care they need, and encouraged to talk through how they're feeling.

Increased funding in research into mental health during pregnancy or postpartum. Information and resources produced to let women know how and where they can access the support that is available. Campaigning and public awareness raising of this crucial issue, helping remove the stima around mental health during this period of time.
