DCD is the only UK charity enabling dancers to excel in new roles at the end of their performance careers. Increasingly younger dancers are turning to DCD due to funding cuts, job shortages and rising costs of living. Irregular hours, low pay, lack of career progression and touring makes planning and saving for an inevitable career transition challenging. Without support, dancers with highly transferable skills will not be able to fulfil their long-term career potential in the arts and beyond.
