Dance & Sports are vital ways to inspire, education & activate communities to come together & move together. Wales has the highest levels of children living with obesity in the United Kingdom. Only 14% of young people in Wales currently get the recommended 60 minutes of daily movement. In 2022, 62% of adults were living with either overweight or obesity, with a quarter of those living with obesity. In 2023-24 13.7% of children started school living with overweight and 11.8% with obesity. .

Rygbi brings sporting legends to join NDCWales professional dancers delivering workshops in two ways: We will identify a number of grassroots sports & rugby clubs across Wales, to engage their supporters & local families to enjoy some dance workshops as part of their sporting moments. We will target a number of schools across Wales, offering support & workshops for young people & CPD for Teachers who will take RYGBI as part of the WJEC Dance Curriculum inspiring new uptake for 2027/28
