Growing Hope York provides free therapy for children with additional needs, in the local area, in partnership with Holy Trinity Heworth. We aim to grow hope for children, hope for families, and hope in Jesus. Your support will enable us to provide therapy to more children in 2027.

In December 2025, 700 families in Humber and North Yorkshire waited an average of eight months for community paediatric treatment (Medimo) - far above the 18‑week NHS target. These delays affect children with additional needs, leaving families isolated and places parents under emotional and financial strain. Early therapeutic intervention has been proven to improve behaviour, self‑esteem, and long‑term mental health.

Growing Hope York provides free therapy for children and young people with additional needs, living in the city. We also run groups for parents and siblings to process their experiences of raising a child with additional needs.
