We are seeking funding for our Volunteer Service to help people impacted by domestic & sexual abuse to rebuild their lives. Volunteers offer one-to-one & group support to help strengthen service’ users confidence, extend their social networks & enable them to reconnect with their community.

Impact areas
Many people affected by domestic & sexual abuse experience low confidence & isolation which can persist long after immediate support ends. Without ongoing relational support, they struggle to rebuild trust, form social connections, re-engage with interests & hobbies & access opportunities in their community. This can impact their mental health, wellbeing & independence, increasing the risk of long-term exclusion & making recovery more difficult to sustain.
Our specially trained volunteers & befrienders are a vital part of our services. Volunteers support clients at regular social activities including a Coffee/Creative Hub & a Men’s Group. Befrienders link up with clients on a one-to-one, providing support on the phone, help with practical tasks or accompanying them on activities within their community. Many of our volunteers have lived experience as former clients which helps build trust, reduces stigma & offers hope that recovery is possible.
