Siamwaka Primary school has 145 pupils aged 4-12 years old, located in a rural area, the nearest town being 110 K away. A double classroom block will include rooms for 2 teachers, and the community will help a qualified builder to construct the building, to improve amenities for pupils and staff.

Siamwaka Primary School pupils and teachers have inadequate facilities to learn and thrive. Many of the children sit on the floor outside to learn, in heat and rain, or in huts without rooves. The teachers have only enough accommodation for 5, another 2 live in unventilated store rooms . There are only two latrines for staff, a long distance from their accommodation, and only 2 latrine for 145 pupils. The water supply is from a well which has polluted water, and is 110 metres away from the school

With help from the local community, and employing a qualified builder, we will build a double classroom block to include small rooms for 2 teachers, with gutters and tanks to collect rain water, and 4 latrines nearby, for staff and pupils use.
