The Daniel Spargo-Mabbs Foundation has educated almost 500,000 young people about drugs and alcohol. Your support will help us take performances of “I Love You, Mum – I Promise I Won't Die” to even more schools, reaching young people with life-saving messages about risk, resilience and safer choices

Young people are growing up in a world where drugs are more accessible, visible and normalised. Social Media can expose them to misinformation and make it easier to obtain substances, while increasingly potent and unpredictable drugs, pills and vapes carry significant risks. By 15, many will have faced decisions about drug use, yet too few receive high-quality drug education and teachers lack specialist training. Without accurate information to assess risk, young people are vulnerable to harm.
As the leading drug education charity in the UK our solution is an innovative programme that engages young people, parents, teachers and professionals. At its heart is “I Love You, Mum – I Promise I Won't Die”, a powerful play based on a true story. Through live theatre, it brings the realities of drug-related harm to life, helping young people understand the importance of drug education, challenge misconceptions, and engage in honest conversations about risk, consequences and decision-making.
