This Christmas, help keep award-winning Gosforth Civic Theatre thriving, welcoming and full of life. As GCT celebrates 10 years, this campaign will sustain a place where people come together for coffee, culture, connection and transformative social impact.

Too many people with learning disabilities are still excluded from ordinary public life. They are too often seen as people who need help, rather than people who contribute. Belonging needs a real public place: somewhere people are recognised, expected and part of everyday life. For ten years, GCT has been that place: a professional cultural venue where people come together through shared daily life.

GCT's mission is to raise everyone's expectations of what people with learning disabilities can achieve. We exist because people with learning disabilities imagined a shared public place. We keep that venue open where people with learning disabilities are part of the café, foyer, theatre and daily rhythm of the building. Ordinary encounters, shared spaces and consistent relationships create belonging and raise expectations. Your support sustains the conditions that make this possible every day.
