Dreamflight takes 192 children with serious illness or disability to Orlando for 10 days without their parents. The trip does something medicine can't, they discover independence, confidence, and a new outlook. This project will fund theme park tickets for 3 days of the trip for all 192 children.

Children in the UK growing up with a serious illness, health condition or disability often feel lonely, excluded and lack confidence. Frequent hospital visits result in missing school and the ability to form friendships. Their physical needs can prevent them taking part in activities like school trips and they can look or sound different which affects their self-esteem. So, many struggle to become confident and independent, which profoundly affects their future and what they can achieve.

Dreamflight is the only charity that takes children from across the UK on trips without their parents. We aim to lift each child out of their everyday medical routine into a world of joy and adventure during a 10-day trip to the theme parks of Orlando for 192 children. There, they mix with others who are like them and enjoy the rides at lots of theme parks like Universal Studios. Each child is supported by a volunteer medical and non-medical team who maximise their safety, enjoyment and benefit.
