The Brain and Spine Foundation provides expert information, practical guidance and emotional support for anyone affected by brain or spinal conditions. Helping people feel less alone, better understand and manage their symptoms and regain confidence as they navigate complex and often life-changing conditions. We have been supporting people affected by neurological conditions for over 30 years and are the only UK charity providing professional support across all 600+ neurological conditions, including subarachnoid haemorrhage, Chiari malformations, stroke, brain tumours and many rare and complex disorders. At the heart of our work is our team of specialist neuro nurses, who support people via our free Neuro Helpline, Neuro Skills Recovery programme and trusted information service. They provide specialist nurse-led support offering reassurance and practical help for people affected by neurological conditions and their carers and families. Helping people to understand what is happening, navigate complex health and care systems and cope with the day-to-day realities of living with a neurological condition. Alongside this, our Peer Support Groups bring together people with shared lived experience to reduce isolation and provide longer-term support, while our innovative Neuro Creative programme led by a BACP-registered art therapist offers access to creative activities to improve emotional expression, confidence and wellbeing.
