This Christmas, Jacksons Lane will open its doors for our annual celebration supporting older adults at risk of social isolation. With volunteer support, we’ll host a 115-person lunch and deliver 100 festive gift packages, sharing food, and creating connection with those who might otherwise be alone

Over half of people aged 75+ in the UK live alone, and Christmas can deepen that isolation. In Haringey, many older residents face exclusion alongside rising living costs. We address this by creating a Christmas Day to remember which centres care, connection and belonging, ensuring that on a day which is so challenging for so many, no one is left feeling forgotten or alone.
We will deliver a unique Christmas Day event focused on tackling loneliness and deepening connection at a time when many feel most isolated. Through a joyful, shared onsite celebration and wellbeing focused goody bags for those at home, we will create moments of care, dignity and belonging, ensuring vulnerable older people feel seen and valued on Christmas Day.
