Our mission is to see fewer people die by suicide. We do this by providing free emotional support to those in need via our phone lines, email, web chat and face to face 24/7, 365 days a year. We provide community outreach services to vulnerable individuals with an increased risk of suicide.

12 people die by suicide weekly. Certain groups are more at risk, including men under 45, the homeless, men in prison, and the LGBTQ+ community. Each suicide directly affects up to 60 people who then go on to struggle with a complex and isolating grief Increasing isolation along with the cost-of-living crisis has only exacerbated emotional turmoil that can lead to suicide. We believe that non-judgemental emotional support is key in alleviating this emotional distress.

We provide free non-judgemental emotional support through: - Phone lines – in 2025, we answered 43,312 calls for support. - Email and webchat – we answered 6,442 calls for help in 2025 - Face to face drop in service – open 12 hours/day, every day. In 2025 we welcomed 952 contacts at our branch - Outreach support across London to those at higher risk of suicide including the homeless, people bereaved by suicide, men in custody, those held in custody suites, and blue light responders themselves.
