Many young people from disadvantaged backgrounds face barriers to leadership development, civic participation and personal growth. Limited access to positive role models, leadership opportunities and civic education can reduce confidence, aspirations and community engagement. Social isolation, economic disadvantage and unequal access to opportunities often prevent young people from developing the skills needed to become active citizens and future leaders.School of Governance addresses this gap.
We will deliver the School of Governance through weekly reading circles, civic education workshops, public speaking training, mentoring, parliamentary visits and discussions with policymakers.Participants will explore governance, democracy and leadership through structured learning and practical engagement. The programme will provide a safe space for young people to develop confidence, critical thinking and leadership skills while building networks, volunteering pathways and other opportunities.
