Over 117 million people were forcibly displaced in 2025, many fleeing conflict, persecution and climate instability. After long, traumatic journeys, those who seek safety in the UK or Europe often face poverty, isolation and restricted routes to work, while being left to navigate unfamiliar systems with extremely limited resources. This support gap between arrival and settlement causes unnecessary suffering, making it harder for displaced people to find stability and move forward with dignity.
At our pioneering Dignity Centres, we offer immediate relief through a choice-based market where our members (those we support) can select the food, clothing and hygiene items they need in a dignified setting. Our Helpdesk provides essential administrative assistance to navigate complex systems and access basic rights. Dignity Centres are designed as welcoming community spaces where displaced people can feel safe and seen, and reclaim a sense of agency as they begin to rebuild their lives.
